Missoula?

We started off to Thompson Falls, MT but ended up in Missoula...3 hours away from camp.  Why?  Well we originally wanted to see Thompson Falls, but the heavy smoke had decided to wreak havoc in the area and we decided to keep on driving.  Since we had nothing else planned except for a swim in the lake the decision was made to continue to Missoula.

Why you may ask since it was a good 3 hours away from our camp... good question since in a matter of a couple of days we would be driving through it on our way to Bozeman.   Well a week or so ago we noticed our gas line for the stove had worn at a connection that it was this (-) close to failure... not good.  The tank of gas was almost empty and Cabela's in Missoula had 6 lines in stock.  Bill had thought he'd wander back to Coeur d'Alene while I did laundry last Friday.  Thankfully he called before the hour drive... zero in stock. So Missoula is were we headed after our smoke out.

That was our day...a fast food lunch and a drive through the countryside.  Our only pictures were of the fire close to the road.  Too bad I didn't get a shot of the sign stating "do not stop rolling debris possible in roadway"... almost positive that if a flaming log or "debris" came rolling onto the road we'd stop.
