Rest for the Weary

End of the Lamoille Canyon road

It was bound to happen, but today all of us are a bit ragged out…not sure why exactly.  Could be from getting such little sleep from our Sunday night of star gazing and then driving 5 hours to Elko...although Cooper slept the entire time he’s still catching up from the hike in Meiss Meadow.  While we did a drive the day after he was too busy sticking his head out the window to really rest.

Is it the heat?  It could very well be…not used such intensity from the sun evidently.  The shade is fairly comfortable and humidity is low, but out in the sunshine it is hot…like sweating kind of hot.  What the heck…not used to it at all.  So after driving to the end of the canyon road and playing in the creek we headed back to camp for lunch and spent the afternoon resting.  Tomorrow we’re planning on a hike out to one of the alpine lakes.
