Yep, a glacier WAS here…not here now. The valley was definitely carved by glaciers...steep
cliff sides and marks along the canyon walls testify to glacier activity. Our campsite in Thomas Canyon looks out over
a small creek and up towards a massive wall of rock. It reminds us of Zion’s National Park except
no one is here…well a few people. The
campground has 42 sites and we cannot see any campers from ours. Pretty special place.
Tomorrow we’ll drive up the Lamoille Canyon and see what we
can find as far as hikes. We do have one
right across from our campsite…probably find enough to occupy us for the
week. If Cooper’s feet hold up we should
be busy exploring the Canyon area.
