Nothing but a Wet Dog

Another new first for us as far as campground activity... swimming.  The campground is located on a huge natural lake...Lake Pend Oreille.  It reminds us of Smith Mountain Lake in many ways.  The Campground Manager dropped by on our first evening and gave us the CG rules and mentioned where we could take the dog swimming.  What?  Unheard of to be able to take a dog on a beach and into the water in the summer... most places anyway.  Here the dog beach is by far more popular than the people beach.

What is Dad (aka Bill) doing?
He's in trouble...gotta save him!
Bill way out there 'needing help' and went in for a water rescue.  Silly dog.  He was one tired puppy when his 3:00 PM nap time rolled around.  Once back in camp both Bill and Cooper took their naps while I pulled out my knitting.  Tomorrow we're going to head off to see some Giant Cedars... in nearby Montana.  Another drive on the Pend Oreille Scenic Highway... then back to the lake for a relaxing swim.
Not sure Bill needs saving...

One could get used to not hiking up mountains if one is not careful.
