My how plans can change quickly. One minute you are eating breakfast and deciding to stay until Monday... the next minute you're packing up and heading off to the unknown. That is exactly how we left Caples Campground. Our plan was to stay until Monday. We wanted to leave with good memories rather than the negative ones we had once the weekend rolled around.
Our neighbors on one side were... shall we say... not all that pleasant. Between yelling at the dogs to 'come here dammit' and playing some awful music at the ungodly hour of 2:00 AM we were not happy campers. Rude is the nicest thing we can say about them. Our neighbors across were not quite as bad, but playing a movie full of profanity as loud as they could wasn't being 'neighborly' at all. At least when 10:00 PM "Quiet Hours" began they turned the volume down.
We did not want to leave with bad memories, but once we were up and the skies were looking iffy we decided that it may be best to head off towards Idaho or Montana. An overnight just outside of Boise, ID gave us enough time to evaluate weather, locations, and travel times. Northern Idaho looked to be a good option... never been and the weather looked to be free of storms. A huge number of campgrounds in the area, but which ones would have open sites was up for debate.
Off we head to somewhere we have not been before... crossing fingers that these neighbors will not be of 'questionable manners'.
